<p>When you set goals in the first place, they must be realistic, or you have positioned yourself for nothing but failure from the start. The following are several ways to set achievable goals that will bring about the results that you want.</p>
<p>Activity-focused goals: You will be much closer to improving your health when you have goals that will help you lose weight, because they are clear and specific, causing you to take steps that are oriented towards action. There are activities that you must be doing from day one, in order to achieve all of the things that you have set out to do. Diet and exercise, the specific objectives in weight loss, can each be put into their own column. Write down the specific steps for each objective under the columns. The objective is the long-term goal, such as an hour a day, and the specific is the beginning goal, such as 15 minutes a day, then the amount is increased a specific number every week, say 5 more minutes, until you work your way up to your objective. To make up your total exercise time, you might prefer to do it in mini-workouts throughout the day. Great results can be realized by doing incidental exercise. Sit ups can be done at a certain time for 10 minutes or so, and then the same with walking, are examples of incidental exercises.
